Before SYCARDA, we used to analyze manually using the normal spreadsheet and then have our own discussion without really meaningful kind of information.
So far, SYCARDA has helped a lot whenever I’d like to generate a report. Whenever I log in, a report will automatically be generated. From there, I’ll refer to the manual report and SYCARDA’s to see if they’re alike. They’re not really far off from each other. So I can catch up with SYCARDA’s system. So that’s how I’ll double check.
So, the F&B here mostly uses wet stuff on a daily basis. But, we have no idea on how much wastage there is. With SYCARDA, we can catch up with the wastage amount. We can reduce the amount of wastage.
When we opt for SYCARDA, we now process the information all the database automatically. The data can also suggest some of the angle that we have not thought about earlier, such as menu basket combinations, which adds value to our decision making.
We have experience at at the initial stage a few months without SYCARDA and then how SYCARDA has improved our decision making, planning and running of our operation.

Without data, I think we wouldn’t know whether we are doing the right thing at the right time with the right products and going through the right path.
We know certain days sales are weak and others other days sales are strong but which item? which department? which Outlets? it always remains a mystery for us.
We have a lot of marketing strategy in mind but almost half of them that we did, end up yielding no result or the result wasn't as good as what we expected, so it becomes frustrating sometimes.
Before SYCARDA, we were forced to use Excel, which we really didn’t want. Excel is a basic tool and we have to go into our POS system and copy paste one by one all these things on a daily basis on a weekly basis.
It takes a lot of work and it takes a lot of brain cell, that's how we roll pre SYCARDA.
With SYCARDA on hand, I can quickly identify sales trends as compared to pre-SYCARDA time. It really saves up a lot of my time. With just a click a few buttons, you can really get all the useful information that you want.
We can identify weak sales due to perhaps Inventory management purposes and we can really go to action very quickly once we've seen where the number goes away. We can also accurately identify non-performing products.

Helping the company to solve financial loophole with elimination of pilferage of almost RM100,000 in over 40 outlets.
Challenges:
- F&B retail (or any retail for the matter) face pilferage when staff take advantage of loopholes in the point-of-sale system.
